Position:Assistant TeachNext Director
Location:Any Location
Purpose:To assist the TeachNext Director with leadership and management of TeachNext, an initiative of MissionNext focused on connecting teachers and educational support staff with Christian Schools outside the US and Canada in need of personnel.

1. Identify and develop opportunities and strategies to maintain and increase the TeachNext relevance and importance in the Christian Education community outside the US and Canada while ensuring financial sustainability.
2. Provide thought and experience-based leadership to the TeachNext team in evaluation of trends and opportunities to improve the impact of TeachNext in the Christian Education community outside the US and Canada by connecting teachers and educational support personnel to opportunities to serve abroad.
3. Implement Web marketing plans in cooperation with other MissionNext teams.
4. Develop and implement strategies to accelerate growth, service and revenue potential
5. Collaborate with MissionNext teams to explore strategies for non-traditional revenue generation.
This is a part-time, self-supporting position requiring 5-10 hours per week.

Staff Interaction:
1. Maintains a Christ-like interactive relationship with other MN staff members.
2. Reports to: Director of TeachNext

External Communication:
1. Help MissionNext expand our network with the goal of increasing the number of Candidates, Schools and Agencies we serve.

Planning: Attend meetings (virtually, using web communication tools) to discuss progress and develop strategies and plans that further the goals and objectives of TeachNext.org and MissionNext. Attend conferences, face-to-face meetings, and events as available. Solicit input on strategies and their implementation from relevant teams as needed.

Education:1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
Experience:1. Experience creating, editing and managing content in a print, broadcast and online setting beneficial. 2. Experience in Web-based technology, Web system development and administration beneficial. 3. Demonstrated track record as a creative, effective and forward-thinking leader. 4. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Excellent command of English language, grammar and style. 5. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, with working knowledge of desktop tools. 6. Familiarity with planning and budgetary processes. 7. Experience in Missions and/or the international Christian education community would be helpful.
Requirements:1. Christ-follower, personable, excellent communication and people skills, comfortable and confident in abilities, dependent on prayer, spiritually mature. 2. There is no office space for this position. The incumbent will work from home using his/her own computer and high-speed internet. Day-to-day contact is via email, telephone and video conferencing. 3. This is a self-supporting position. Approved ministry expenses may be reimbursed. 4. Agrees with MissionNext Statements of Faith and Spiritual Purpose. 5. Passionate about the MissionNext Mission and Vision.
Preferences:1. Experience with, or willingness to learn basic use of various software platforms as appropriate. For example, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Office 365, virtual communications tools (GoToMeeting, Free Conference Calls, Constant Contact bulk email programs, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools). 2. Due to virtual teamwork nature, must be a self-starter, willing to stay on task without regular face-to-face interaction. 3. Good communicator with solid knowledge and practice of email ethics (responding quickly, etc.). 4. Good team member skills. 5. Good organizational skills. 6. Understanding of Biblical principles regarding relationships, conflict resolution, etc. 7. Knowledge of missions and MissionNext products, Forums and Journey Deepens events.
